Tanzania: Sports Leadership Challenge

Bring your energy and creativity to Tanzania, teaching children about teamwork and communication through sports. You’ll deliver a range of hands-on workshops that inspire children to enjoy going to school, and explore bustling Arusha in your free time.

Challenge Snapshot

57% of secondary school age children in Tanzania are not enrolled at school. Your task will be to instil a lifelong love of learning in some of these kids, passing on your enthusiasm for collaboration, physical discipline and sporting skills. You’ll be challenged to step out of your comfort zone and think creatively.

Be a team to inspire teamwork

Challenge Overview

You’ll be working together as a team to contribute to community projects in our partner schools in Tanzania. Your task is to help to inspire children to want to come to school through sports education, and therefore create change in the communities.

You’ll be designing and delivering a range of workshops related to sports, health and wellbeing, including teamwork and communication, and on why maintaining a healthy lifestyle is so important. You’ll also deliver physical sports sessions, including introducing exciting new sports and organising a final sports day celebration at the end of the programme.
