Safeguarding and Child Protection
We are committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people
Responsible practices
Our commitment to safeguarding
It is our core belief that all children and young adults have a right to protection and that welfare is paramount. We ensure that we have effective policies and processes in place that protect the children, young adults and communities that we work with.
- Responsible safeguarding policy across all programmes
- Organisation wide Child Protection policy
- Enhanced DBS Checks for all participants and staff
- Mandatory code of conduct to be completed by all participants and staff prior to programme
Our safeguarding policy
Challenges Abroad recognises that as an organisation it has the responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of participants under the age of 18, and that it also needs to ensure any partnering school or college adhere to the relevant statutory and non-statutory safeguarding guidance including ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ KCSIE.
You can view our Safeguarding Policy for more information. This policy is implemented across our entire organisation.
Child protection policy
Our policy is implemented across our entire organisation, including the FutureSense Foundation, and ensures that all children and young people with whom we work or support are protected at all times. The policy is in agreement with the United Nations Convention on the Right of the Child.
We regularly review and update our Child Protection Policy to ensure best practice and stay up to date with any new research or legislation.
