Our mission is to ignite compassion and create a new generation of Global Citizens. We help students develop their skillset and grow as individuals whilst providing unforgettable, ethical experiences!
Join our Global Community Today
We founded Challenges Abroad in 2012 as a Social Enterprise, where our decisions are driven by the interests of people and our planet.
We know that when you travel as a young person, it’s not so much a holiday, but a profound educational experience that moulds who you are. The experiences you gain have a huge impact on who you grow to become, your career choices, and even the types of people you choose to surround yourself with.
Our Community of Global Citizens
At Challenges Abroad, we believe one student, one team, one programme can be a catalyst for change. Over the past 10 years, we have sent out thousands of students and seen them grow as global citizens and develop as future leaders. The impact that we make in our partner communities continues to be inspiring. Supporting people in communities abroad gives you the chance to challenge yourself, experience new things, and realise your potential to create positive change in the world.
Our values describe who we are, how we act and what we seek to achieve: We are Passionate about our purpose, the students who come on our programmes and the communities we build and support. We always act with Empathy, Energy and Integrity as we connect with and energise our community while remaining genuine in our interactions. We develop Innovative solutions to meet the aspirations of our community of global changemakers to enable them to address local challenges.
is our foundation
When you take part with Challenges Abroad, you are getting involved in more than just a programme.
Our foundation’s mission is at the centre of everything we do as a social enterprise, and we built our Challenges Abroad programmes around the needs of the communities and the charity’s long term goals.
This makes the Challenges Abroad experience much more than just a typical ‘challenge’ or ‘adventure’. It grew from the ground up, from deeply rooted needs in the communities the foundation serves.
