Challenge Overview
On this 4-week challenge you will get the opportunity to visit the Panama canal and learn about the history, and how it impacted the community. You will also engage with students in STEAM related workshops to promote critical thinking and innovation. You will have the unique opportunity to engage with local community members to understand the issues they face and contribute towards engineering based solutions. Previous projects have included rainwater harvesting, recycling solutions, and housing initiatives.
It’s not all work and no play – you’ll have plenty of free time during your evenings and weekends to explore the local area!

Weeks 1-4:
Get hands on experience of engineering amongst the history and use of the Panama canal as well as participating in workshops aimed to spread a wide range of knowledge. Partake in community improvements such as house building, community clear-ups and facilitating conversational English.
