Kickstart 2025 with Adventures That Matter

As 2025 approaches, it’s time to embrace the new year with exciting travel plans! This is your year to book that adventure, explore incredible destinations, and make unforgettable memories. From vibrant cultures to breathtaking landscapes, let us inspire your journey to some of the world’s most awe-inspiring locations.

Thailand

A Land of Smiles and Rich Culture

Thailand is a destination that effortlessly blends bustling cities, serene countryside, and pristine beaches. From exploring the vibrant streets of Bangkok with its temples and street food to the tranquil beauty of Chiang Mai’s mountains and ethical elephant sanctuaries, Thailand is a traveller’s paradise.

Our Recommendation:
Embark on our Thailand Elephant & Hill Tribes Challenge to engage with Lanna culture, support education initiatives in remote communities, and learn about elephant conservation in ethical settings.

I participated in the Elephants and Hill Tribes Challenge in Thailand. Both experiences were amazing however working at the Elephant Nature Park with the elephants and the dogs was the highlight of my trip. Whilst we did volunteer at both places it did not seem like work, it was great learning about the culture at the hill tribes and the actively helping with the maintenance of the elephants and dogs, especially the disabled dogs.

india

A Kaleidoscope of Colour and Culture

India’s diversity promises something for everyone, from the architectural marvels of the Taj Mahal and Jaipur’s palaces to the serene Himalayan foothills. Each state offers a unique flavour of culture, language, and cuisine, making India an adventure unlike any other.

Our Recommendation:
Get involved in the India Social Impact Challenge and make a real difference in local communities all while immersing yourself in the local culture.

Being able to gain confidence in India whilst travelling to see the Taj Mahal and then travelling to the airport to get to Palampur to volunteer in a public school to help the children with their conversational English, hygiene and physical activity has helped me learn that not all families are as lucky as me. Having this opportunity of a lifetime has helped me understand a different culture and be able to gain confidence of being a better Global Citizen.

cambodia

Temples and Timeless History

Home to the majestic Angkor Wat, Cambodia is a must-visit for its spiritual heritage and vibrant local culture. The lush jungles surrounding ancient temples and bustling markets of Siem Reap offer an incredible journey into the Khmer civilization.

Our Recommendation:
Join the Cambodia Community Challenge and make a meaningful impact through workshops in partner schools, while immersing yourself in Khmer traditions with cooking classes and cultural activities.

Challenges Abroad gave me a once in a lifetime experience in Cambodia. They made an amazing programme with the right balance between helping in the community and learning about the culture. They made us feel welcomed and safe in the country. Would definitely recommend and go again!

nepal

A Spiritual and Natural Haven

Nepal, the land of the Himalayas, is perfect for nature lovers and adventurers alike. Ancient temples in Kathmandu and the breathtaking mountain vistas create a harmonious blend of spirituality and natural beauty.

Our Recommendation:
Contribute to sustainable development with our Nepal Sustainability Challenge, working on environmental initiatives while exploring the country’s rich culture and traditions.

I visited Nepal with a group of people from my year at school and we had the best time together. Getting to really engage with another culture, and see some incredible sights. We loved going to the school and seeing everyone, making bonds with the children, making workshops just for them. If you have this opportunity, please take it! You will have a great time.

Tanzania

The Ultimate Safari Adventure

Tanzania is synonymous with wildlife and natural wonders. The Serengeti’s Great Migration, Mount Kilimanjaro, and Zanzibar’s idyllic beaches make it a dream destination for every traveller.

Our Recommendation:
Take part in the Tanzania Health & Wellbeing Challenge to gain hands-on experience while helping improve community health through educational initiatives.

I couldn’t recommend Challenges Abroad any better, I have just come back from the incredible Tanzania trip. The impact it’s left on me after two weeks is incredible. I learned so much about culture, people and life. I was shown the beautiful aspect of day to day living in Tanzania and was supported heavily throughout it.

peru

Ancient Civilizations and Majestic Andes

Peru’s rich history, from the Inca Empire to Machu Picchu, combined with its vibrant cities and lush landscapes, makes it an unforgettable destination for history buffs and adventurers.

Our Recommendation:
The Machu Picchu Challenge blends sustainable travel and community engagement with the iconic trek to the Inca citadel, creating an adventure of a lifetime.

The experience in itself was a once in a lifetime opportunity. The accommodation was incredible, the hosts were lovely, the school experience was surreal, the food was lovely, the views around where was based were incredible and the activities we got to take part in were all so good. I would definitely do the 2.5 weeks all over again if I had the chance to.

panama

Where Nature Meets Urban Energy

Panama offers lush rainforests, thriving cities, and the iconic Panama Canal. From exploring Casco Viejo’s colonial charm to hiking in the Chiriquí Highlands, Panama is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered.

Our Recommendation:
Join the Panama Sustainability Challenge to protect the environment and regrow the Spider Monkey’s natural habitat while immersing yourself in this vibrant culture.

My trip to Panama in America was a once in a lifetime opportunity. It was full of fun and did have its challenges, however the overall experience was amazing and did change aspects of my life. Being exposed to something outside of my comfort zone has really given me character development and has made me a more confident person as I’ve come back to my home. If you’re thinking about going on a trip with Challenges Abroad, I do 100% recommend!
