Then, step into the world of conservation at an ethical elephant sanctuary, where you’ll help care for rescued elephants and learn their powerful stories.
Blending hands-on community work, wildlife conservation, and cultural immersion, this programme offers a unique opportunity to experience authentic Thailand. You will make a real difference and create unforgettable memories.
- Focused on UN Sustainability Goals

Our Charity: FutureSense Foundation
Your fundraising allows our charity to continue and expand this work, ensuring it has a lasting impact long after each Challenges Abroad trip has ended. The money you raise goes directly into the FutureSense Foundation’s local projects and initiatives across all the communities where we operate, helping us to provide essential resources and create opportunities that empower individuals to build better futures.
How does the fundraising work?
At least 50% of the funds raised go directly to the FutureSense Foundation, and the remaining funds contribute towards the cost of your trip, helping to make the experience possible. 100% of Gift Aid and any funds raised above target go directly to the charity, creating an even greater impact within our communities.

Are flights included?
Flights aren’t included in the programme cost because many participants choose to extend their travels before or after the programme, so booking flights independently gives you the flexibility to arrange your own travel plans. It also works out more cost efficient if you book them. Don’t worry though, we’re here for support if you need us.
Do I need any previous experience or qualifications?
You don’t need any previous experience or qualifications to join most of our programmes. We provide comprehensive preparation and support before departure, as well as a detailed Programme Orientation on arrival in-country, ensuring participants feel confident and ready to contribute to the programme.
Can I raise money to fund my trip?
Absolutely! This is something we encourage you to do, and we’ll help you set up an official fundraising page so you can share it with your network to collect donations.
What is the accommodation like?
You’ll either be staying at our hub, or a local partner guesthouse in dorm-style accommodation, sharing your room with up to three other participants. There are western showers and toilets, as well as communal spaces for relaxing. While you will be provided with home comforts, they will be different to your usual standards and all part of the challenge!
Experience traditional village life!
