This challenge is truly unique and will test your ability to communicate and to achieve goals as part of a team. You will spend the first week in the Amazon rainforest, one of the most protected natural areas in all South America. You will learn all about environmental sustainability and protection from conservation experts and indigenous communities and see some of the most spectacular wildlife along the way.
After experiencing the Amazon rainforest your volunteer project will take place not far outside Cusco where your help can make a real difference to struggling communities. Armed with fresh knowledge about the local environment and sustainability challenges you will work in our local partner schools teaching an environmental sustainability curriculum. This sort of education is crucial for the local community, ensuring that as they develop, they are able to protect their natural environment. With free time on the weekends to explore Cusco and discover the best of both ancient and modern Peru as well as the opportunity to take part in our extension trip to trek Machu Picchu, this is an adventure not to pass up!
