The magic begins when you commence your descent into Kathmandu airport. You will be welcomed with the spectacular views of the Himalayas! This important and worthwhile volunteering project is your opportunity to head out to an area in need and make a real difference.
Even before the recent earthquakes, Nepal has long been one of the world’s poorest and least developed countries. Despite the popularity of the country as a destination for international tourism, half the local population live below the poverty line, and opportunities for individuals to access even basic education and, beyond that, decent employment are extremely limited.
You will be working alongside communities who have been devastated by the recent natural disasters and will be helping them to return to normality through delivering educational programmes, as well as supporting much needed renovation work in the area. Volunteering in Kathmandu with your group will give valuable help to families from the poorest communities.

I learnt so much more in this short time than I thought possible. While it will challenge you in many different ways, the sense of accomplishment and the amazing people you’ll meet along the way, make it one of the best experiences you’ll have.Volunteer - Maggie - Nepal
