Thailand: Social Impact in the Community (2 Weeks)

Experience the very best Thailand has to offer this summer! Travel off the beaten track to rural northern Thailand where you will volunteer in a beautiful hill tribe village, boosting the educational longevity.

Challenge Snapshot

You’ll help children in Mae Sariang develop English, STEM and life skills. Your contribution will last far beyond those two weeks, because being able to speak English is a game-changer for children here – it means unlike many of the country’s poor and illiterate, they can access good jobs and a bright future.

Challenge Overview

You’ll be working on a range of projects that help improve education quality at our partner schools in Mae Sariang. These could include running life skills workshops that build children’s confidence and encourage transferable skills like problem solving, conflict resolution and teamwork. You’ll be asked to deliver conversational English lessons that will increase the children’s opportunities for further education and well-paying jobs later in life. You’ll be running STEM workshops that encourage experimentation and innovation.

Your workshops will teach children important skills like critical thinking, problem solving and teamwork that will engage them in their education and help reduce drop-out rates.
