Education is at the heart of the work we do with our communities. We believe that the best way to achieve positive change is by providing the next generation with access to quality education. On the Peru: Social Impact programme, you will be based in the Scared Valley. By participating on this programme, you’ll get to contribute to a range of exciting education projects including:
When you arrive in Peru you’ll be met by our team at the airport. Over the next few days you’ll have a thorough induction and orientation where you’ll learn about Peruvian customs and culture, get your bearings around town, meet community partners and gain a better understanding of the context of the projects you’re working on.
Over four weeks, you’ll work in the community Monday - Friday with your weekend free to travel and explore. Your day will usually be structured with a morning session (approx. 3 hours) after breakfast and then a session of the same length after lunch. Your afternoons and evenings will be free for you to relax or do any required planning for the next day.
On the last day, you’ll either be transported back to the airport to begin your journey home.
You may be eligible to receive funding for this programme from your University. We recommend contacting your University Go Global/International Office to find out more, or book an appointment with one of our travel experts who will be more than happy to discuss funding options with you.

I had an amazing time getting involved in the school, I helped out as well as learning about this country and it's people's history. I would love to go back again in the future and spend more time learning and exploring Peru.Volunteer - Peru
There is not a better feeling than feeling like you’ve made a difference. This challenge gave me that opportunity. Living, working and playing in Peru enabled me to see, hear, feel and taste this beautiful culture and I’m forever grateful for the Challenges Abroad team.Volunteer - Brianna - Peru
