Job Description
Challenges Abroad offers a range of exciting student led adventure and volunteering programmes that provide our participants with the opportunity to see the world while making a difference to disadvantaged communities overseas. We partner with universities and student-led societies and select students to become Challenge Leaders, provide them with essential skills through a series of training and development sessions, empower them to build and lead a team of fellow students on an overseas challenge.
Our aim is to excel in creating innovative overseas programmes that are mutually beneficial to both the community and our volunteers and to become known as the organisation of choice for responsible overseas volunteering. This role offers a lot of responsibility and the opportunity to develop personally and professionally, as well as amazing opportunities to travel overseas to see our programmes first hand!
Job Role
You will be responsible for recruiting students to join our overseas challenge trips and building new relationships and managing our long-standing university partnerships. You will also be required to recruit and mentor Challenge Leaders while working with them to build their team and ensure all participants are engaged in the programme and feel prepared to travel. This role also requires you to work with our partner charity to support participants with fundraising.
This role will require you to travel around the country, reaching out and setting up partnerships with universities and student led societies for us to be able to market our programmes.

You will be an outgoing individual, with a high degree of energy and enthusiasm that you are able to transmit to others and inspire them to volunteer overseas. You will be expected to manage your own schedule and work from home a lot of the time so excellent time management and organisational skills are fundamental. We would also expect you to have:

Salary:
Starting base salary is £18,000, with an OTE of £25,000. We are offering a competitive remuneration package with a high incentive structure on delivery of business goals and targets. The role provides for an uncapped bonus potential so your earning will depend upon how successful you are at your job! This role will also give you the opportunity to travel overseas to see first-hand the work of our partner charity.
