“Whilst studying International Development at university, I took the opportunity to travel to South Africa for the summer and volunteered with a local organisation on a variety of different projects. This included teaching English, renovating a school, educating children on sustainability, and empowering a local community to recycle empty containers of glass, plastic, and tine so that they could purchase donated goods from a ‘swop shop.’ Alongside this I was able to take in some incredible experiences such as bungee jumping, camping in a safari and feeding elephants at a sanctuary.

Our Charity
Our programmes support the FutureSense Foundation, a registered charity that supports community development in some of the poorest regions of the world. Our partnership ensures all of our programmes have a long-term, sustainable impact on the communities where we work.
Safety and Support
Challenges Abroad ensures the safety of its participants through 24/7 support, carefully selected and monitored locations, direct involvement in programme development and implementation, expert preparation, and ensuring that you are well prepared to embark on the challenge.
